First reported cases of Cordyceps Brain Infection in southern United States; hospitals along the Texas-New Mexico border report patients with rapid infection with fungal growths, followed by rapidly deteriorating psychological health. First reported cases are in transport drivers taking routes across Texas to the South-West United States. Early containment successful; viable samples sent for analysis.

Outblooming of cases in Southern United States –– Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia. Containment unsuccessful.

SEPTEMBER 26th, 2013
Containment complete failure as military is called in to Austin, Texas and surrounding area. Cases reported in more States and stretching into Mexico. Early reports of cases in major international cities.

SEPTEMBER 29th, 2013
All passenger transport systems shut down indefinitely; trains, buses, plans, ships not intended for shipping of goods and resources held. Airing of season finale of Breaking Bad postponed due to emergency broadcasting.
